This book is deep and so true. Considering the following...
An infant totally depends on the outer world for its physical and emotional survival.
It cannot give to the world. It can only take from the world. The world serves
our life rather than our life serving the world. This is how we relate to the world in our
most undeveloped state. Unfortunately, this is how many adults continue to relate to
the outer world. ~Dacher, 2006I love it!
Jen, I love that quote too! I think we are all guilty of taking from the world and not giving back once and awhile. Although for some people it is all about what the world can offer them and nothing else. My experience tells me that true happiness comes from giving back--wether through charity or volunteering--and through giving of myself more often than not good things tend to happen. Being selfless is a reward for both the body and mind. Great post!
